A tentative deal has been reached between the region and the union representing Grand River Transit workers.
It follows bargaining talks on Tuesday, marking the first time the two sides have met since Wednesday.
A ratification vote is scheduled for Thursday.
If the deal is accepted, there’s no word yet on how soon the buses could be back on the road.
“The Region appreciates the public’s patience and understanding as we work towards getting the buses back in service.” the region said in a release.
Unifor Local 4304 represents over 700 Grand River Transit/MobilityPLUS, operators, dispatchers, fleet mechanics and service attendants.
The strike, the first in the history of GRT, began on Tuesday, January 21.
