Paris Saint-Germain scored twice in the final 18 minutes to beat Olympique Lyonnais 2-0 at the Parc des Princes on Monday and move a point clear at the top of Ligue 1.
The match was goalless at halftime. Mayulu broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute, and Godts doubled the lead in the 84th, according to BBC Sport and Sky Sports.
BBC Sport credited Godts with the assist on Mayulu’s opener and Ndjantou with the pass that set up Godts for the second. A crowd of 47,926 watched at the Parc des Princes.
The win lifts PSG to 17 points from eight matches, with five wins, two draws and one loss. Rennes sit second on 16 points, one back of the leaders. Paris have scored 16 goals and conceded nine.
Lyon stay fifth on 14 points after eight matches, with four wins, two draws and two defeats. They have scored 13 goals and conceded seven, but they could not find a way through in Paris until the match was out of reach.
Both goals arrived after the 70-minute mark, and with Rennes a point back, the margin at the top of the table remains thin.
Elsewhere in European football, Kylian Mbappé’s double gave Real Madrid a 2-1 win over Barcelona in El Clásico on Sunday, and Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak scored in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Brighton.
