MDA Space Q3 profit $30.9M, raises 2026 revenue outlook

MDA Space Ltd. (TSX:MDA) reported third-quarter net income of $30.9 million, up from $27.0 million a year earlier, and raised its revenue guidance for 2026, the company said Thursday.

The profit amounted to 19 cents per diluted share for the quarter ended Sept. 30, compared with 21 cents a year ago, when it had fewer shares outstanding, the Canadian Press reported. On an adjusted basis, MDA earned 37 cents per diluted share, the same as a year earlier.

Revenue totalled $498.1 million, up from $409.8 million. Satellite systems revenue rose to $358.3 million from $283.5 million, robotics and space operations revenue was $79.9 million, up from $78.3 million, and geointelligence revenue was $59.9 million, up from $48.0 million.

MDA now expects 2026 revenue of $1.90 billion to $1.95 billion, up from earlier expectations of $1.8 billion to $1.9 billion. Its order backlog stood at $3.95 billion on Sept. 30, compared with $4.39 billion a year earlier.

MDA shares were up about 7.6 per cent at about $39.45 in morning trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange, Yahoo Finance data showed. See our morning market report.
