The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance has imposed restrictions on visitors, after two patients tested positive for influenza
Declaration of a flu outbreak at Clinton Public Hospital is prompting the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance to advise residents to protect themselves against contracting and spreading influenza.
The outbreak was declared on the weekend, when two patients on the unit at CPH tested positive for influenza.
Officials Saturday closed the unit to admissions and transfers, while restricting visitors to two per patient.
Some staff limitations have also been imposed.
Infection control Practitioner Larry Morrell says the hospital is working closely with the Huron County Health Unit, while the outbreak declaration remains in place.
The flu-related restrictions at CPH will stay in effect until further notice.
