Public health officials have declared the influenza outbreak over in the complex continuing care unit at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
The hospital made the announcement Wednesday. The outbreak was initially declared Dec. 20.
Officials said infection prevention and control measures will remain in place across the organization, and stressed the hospital remains a safe place to receive care.
Anyone experiencing an emergent acute care need is asked to call 911 or visit the nearest emergency department.
