#10 Joakim Nygard, 4. Played just 6:27 on the latest edition of the fourth line and made next to no impact. His -1 was unearned (goalie error) but zero shots, hits, takeaways etc.
#13 Jesse Puljujarvi, 5. A quiet night on a too-quiet first line. Did generate the group’s lone shot on net. His best play set up Nurse for a Grade A shot. No defensive miscues but not a lot of crisp handles of the puck along the way.
#14 Devin Shore, 4. Played just 4 minutes at even strength and another 2 on the PK. Not a lot happened on his watch, including 0 shot attempts. 0/4=0% on the dot.
#15 Josh Archibald, 3. When Tippett did trust his fourth line for a key shift, immediately after the Oilers had tied the score 2-2, Archibald spoiled the occasion by taking an entirely unnecessary hooking penalty. 14 seconds later, he was taking the skate of shame. 0 shot attempts, 3 hits.
#18 James Neal, 6. One of the more energetic Oilers, Neal peppered Frederik Anderson with 6 shots.
#19 Mikko Koskinen, 4. Blundered badly, and thrice over, on the critical first goal of the game, first coughing the puck up, then getting his goal stick lodged inside the net while attempting to recover, then allowing a shoveled shot into his body to find a hole on its way to the back of the net. Was beaten through the body on the game winner as well, a wicked blast by Auston Matthews under his arm. Did make a few decent stops along the way, several against Nylander, and one ten bell robbery off of Mitch Marner to keep the Oilers alive with 3 minutes left, but by then the damage was done. 27 shots, 23 saves, .852 save percentage.
