With McDavid out other Edmonton Oilers step up in 5-1 win over Vegas

The Connor McDavid-less Edmonton Oilers looked no worse for it on Wednesday night, thoroughly out-playing the defending Stanley Cup Champion Vegas Golden Knights in a 5-1 victory.

In as complete of a team performance as we have seen this season Edmonton dominated at both ends of the risk, in goal, on special teams, you name it.

The club passes the 100-point mark for the 3rd consecutive season, and creeps to within 3 of Pacific leading Vancouver.

Perhaps notable: Connor McDavid was standing at the dressing room door to congratulate his teammates. Good sign.
