Nickelback release their new album, Everything Under the Sun, on Friday, Oct. 30, more than three months after announcing it, and open a 2027 world tour that includes seven Canadian arena dates starting March 12 at Montreal’s Bell Centre.
The 12-track record is the band’s first for Virgin Music Group, and the band previously recorded for BMG, according to Louder. The Canadian dates are part of a run of nearly 70 concerts across North America, Europe and Australia, The Canadian Press reported on Oct. 10.
Chad Kroeger, the band’s frontman, said the album covers a wide range of the group’s sound. “This album has every side of the band on it,” he said in the announcement, as quoted by Louder on July 14. He said the first single, Rattle the Cage, featuring guitarist John 5, “felt like the perfect way to kick the door open.”
Three more singles have followed, Bones for the Crows, Leave Me Behind and Make Me Love You, the last of which was premiered on BBC Radio 2 on Sept. 24, Blabbermouth reported. The full track list runs from Rattle the Cage through I Already Know, If I Don’t Go, Chasin’ Famous, Simple Song, Technicolor Steamboat, Lift Somebody Up, Bottled Dreams and Last Night Was Fun.
Jacqueline Saturn, Virgin Music Group’s North American president, said in the label’s announcement: “We’re thrilled to partner with them as they begin this exciting new chapter.” The quote was reported by Louder.
The Everything Under the Sun Tour, with British rock band Don Broco as special guests, opens Feb. 6, 2027, at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, TodoCanada reported. North American dates run through May, followed by Europe from May 22 to July 13 and Australia from Oct. 2 to 16.
The Canadian dates are March 12 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, March 20 at TD Coliseum in Hamilton, March 21 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, April 2 at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, April 3 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, April 6 at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary and April 9 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver. The announced run does not include Ottawa, Winnipeg or Atlantic Canada.
Artist presales began Oct. 13 and general sales opened Oct. 16 at 10 a.m. local time, according to TodoCanada. The reports reviewed did not give ticket prices, and Canada News Media has not confirmed which shows still have seats.
The Canadian run adds to a busy 2027 arena and stadium calendar. Canada News Media has also reported on Bon Jovi’s Aug. 4, 2027, date at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium, Matchbox Twenty’s Vancouver and Toronto shows and Calvin Harris’s four Canadian arena dates.
