Kevin Mital will continue to wear double blue.
The Canadian receiver has inked a one-year contract extension with the Toronto Argonauts that carries through the 2027 season, the CFL team announced Thursday.
The fifth-overall pick in the 2024 CFL Draft, Mital, 27, tied for the league lead with 102 catches last year and had 886 yards and two touchdowns.
The native of Saint-Hubert, Que., became the first Canadian Argonaut and fifth overall to reach the 100-catch mark in a season.
Mital won the Hec Creighton Award as top player in U Sports football, the Vanier Cup and the Vanier Cup MVP in 2022 with the Laval Rouge et Or.
“I am thrilled to sign this extension in Toronto,” Mital said in a statement. “I love competing here, I love the city, and I want to bring another Grey Cup home where it belongs; for my family, my teammates, this organization, and our fans.”
The Argos play the Montreal Alouettes in their season opener on Friday.
