Western Health is encouraging residents to book their COVID-19 booster vaccine this fall.
All individuals over 5 are eligible for the booster provided it has been 20 weeks from their last dose.
Health Canada has authorized Moderna’s Spikevax Bivalent vaccine, which is more effective at fighting variants of COVID, and which is available to those 65 and older, living in long-term care, at increased risk of severe disease, living in Indigenous communities, in racialized or marginalized communities, or residents of congregate living settings.
Clinics are available throughout the Western Health region.
