The NHL is responding to the growing concern about the coronavirus by restricting media access to the players.
While the league is still fine-tuning its regulations, the Canadiens’ dressing room was not open following Monday’s practice at the Bell Centre. Individual players were available for interviews while standing on risers outside the room.
A team spokesman said the change in policy was made at the behest of the league. A formal league-wide policy is expected to be unveiled before Monday’s games.
The Canadiens are in action Tuesday when they play the Nashville Predators (7 p.m., TSN2, RDS, TSN 690 Radio, 98.5 FM).
