The Sam Roberts Band and Alan Doyle will be co-headlining this year’s Oxford Stomp, which will take place in a smaller venue this year.
51 North Productions and the Concorde Entertainment Group announced Tuesday that the 33-year-old corporate concert will be held July 14 at the Wildhorse Saloon. This year, the event will raise funds for the Calgary Food Bank.
Sarah Geddes, who handles communications for Oxford Stomp, said the pandemic has had an impact on the music festival industry and that there are plans to return to a larger-scale event in 2024.
For years, the Oxford Stomp was held at Fort Calgary. In recent years, it has been held at Shaw Millennium Park. In 2022, the event was headlined by The Black Crowes and Our Lady Peace.
The Sam Roberts Band is a six-time Juno winner from Quebec. Alan Doyle is the former lead vocalist of Great Big Sea.
