Link Product Solutions is recalling its Fright Night LED Organza Costume Wings because the button batteries in the light unit may become accessible, which can cause serious internal injuries if swallowed, according to a Health Canada recall notice posted Nov. 3.
The company told Health Canada it sold 432 units in Canada between July and September 2026. The notice does not name the retailers. The wings come in black, white, red, pink, fuchsia and purple, and the LED key supplied with them contains three LR44 button or coin cell batteries. The notice does not list a model number, UPC or lot code.
Health Canada said the batteries may become accessible from the LED box. If swallowed or inserted into the body, button and coin cell batteries can cause serious internal injuries. The hazard is tied to the LED box only. The wings themselves are not affected.
As of Oct. 27, the company had received no reports of incident or injury in Canada, the notice said.
Consumers should stop using the product immediately, keep it out of reach of children and dispose of it, Health Canada said. Owners can contact the company for a partial refund by phone at 416-637-2180, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, or by email at [email protected]. The product was made in China and imported by Link Product Solutions, based in Ontario. It may not be redistributed, sold or given away in Canada.
The full notice, identified as RA-82901, is on the Government of Canada Recalls and Safety Alerts site.
The recall comes days after Health Canada warned about banned balloon blowing kits sold through online marketplaces.
