VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A man in his 50s who recently returned from a trip to Iran has become B.C.’s ninth case of COVID-19, according to the province’s top doctor.
Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says the man lives in the Fraser Health Region and is currently in self-isolation, along with anyone he had close contact with.
During Tuesday’s announcement, Henry repeated her request for people at risk to stay away from seniors’ homes, to thoroughly wash their hands and avoid touching their faces and eyes.
