RE/MAX Eastern Realty Inc. Brokerage raised more than $10,000 over two weeks to assist with humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine.
Of that, $5,000 will be shared with The New Canadians Centre and the remaining $5,000 will be shared with The Canada Ukraine Foundation.
The funds were presented Thursday.
The settlement of 70 displaced families from the Ukraine to the Peterborough and Northumberland areas is being handled by the New Canadians Centre, which is working to raise $20,000 for the effort.
