Canada’s most expensive home for sale is still a waterfront estate in West Vancouver asking $58.8 million, and all 10 of the priciest houses on our October list were still on the market on Nov. 4 at the same asking prices.
None of the 10 has dropped its price or left the list in the past month, based on a listing-by-listing check on REW.ca. West Vancouver and Whistler account for six of them, with Toronto’s Bridle Path and Casa Loma, Oakville’s lakefront and South Surrey’s ocean bluffs making up the rest. The wider market has been slow: CREA said home sales fell 2.3 per cent in September.
How we built this list: We ranked detached homes by asking price on Nov. 4, 2026, using active listings on REW.ca in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario, and checked each listing individually. REW.ca does not carry Quebec or the North, so see our separate Montreal and N.W.T. editions. Condos, raw land and multi-unit buildings are excluded. That leaves out a $45.5-million land parcel in Surrey, a $45-million parcel in Calgary, a $45-million multi-family property in East Vancouver and a $35.99-million Coal Harbour penthouse. We also left out two Point Grey properties in Vancouver asking $32 million and $30 million, which have been marketed as development sites. None of these entries has a publicly reported celebrity or public-figure owner.
A note on photos: listing photo galleries belong to the brokerages and photographers who made them, so we do not republish them without permission. Each entry links to the full listing and its photos. The image at the top is a file photo of the West Vancouver shoreline, not a listed property.
